Cancellation Policy

We know plans change. This policy explains how cancellations work for dine-in, takeaway, delivery and reservation orders placed with Awesome Khana in Barasat.

Delivery & Takeaway Orders

Orders can be cancelled free of charge as long as preparation hasn't started — usually within a few minutes of confirming your order. Once your food is on the tandoor or stove, we're no longer able to cancel it, since it's already being made specifically for you.

Changing An Order

Want to add an item, change a spice level or update your address? Call or WhatsApp us as soon as possible — we can usually accommodate changes right up until preparation begins, in the same window as a cancellation.

Table Reservations

Reservations can be cancelled or rescheduled anytime before your booked time at no cost. We'd appreciate as much notice as you can give, so we can offer the table to other guests — especially on weekends and holidays.

Bulk & Catering Orders

Office lunch boxes, party orders and catering are prepared in advance based on the headcount and menu you confirm with us. These require at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reduce the order size — cancellations after ingredients have been procured or cooking has started may not be refundable.

When We Can't Cancel

Some orders can't be cancelled once confirmed:

• Orders where preparation has already started in the kitchen.
• Orders that are already out for delivery.
• Customised bulk or catering orders within the 24-hour notice window.

Refunds

If an order is cancelled in time, or if we're unable to fulfil it — for example, an item is unavailable or your address falls outside our delivery area — any amount already paid is refunded to the original payment method, usually within 5–7 business days. Cash-on-delivery orders that are cancelled before dispatch simply aren't charged.

The fastest way to cancel or change an order is to call us or message us on WhatsApp with your name and order details. Our team will confirm whether the order can still be cancelled and let you know next steps.
